Rain cap is the horizontal part that screws into the top of the brickmold trim.
Quad hinge is four hinges built into the frame. (Also known as a butt hinge.)
Z-bar is a narrow vertical bar that attaches to the door jamb.
Brickmold trim is used to frame in the top and sides of the exterior door opening. Storm and Screen Doors mount to the brickmold trim.
Closer close the door after it is opened. When the door is opened, air is pulled into the closer cylinder through an adjustment screw valve and a spring is compressed. Decompression of the spring closes the door. (Also known as a pump or cylinder.)
Sweep is the U-shaped channel that covers the bottom of the door. It can be raised or lowered to fit the opening.
